Amazon Senior Program Operations Manager, CN Global Selling in Shanghai, China

The Global Selling team in China is responsible for recruiting local businesses to sell on Amazon’s 14 overseas marketplaces, and supporting local Sellers’ success and growth on the Amazon. Amazon Global Selling is looking for a dynamic, highly motivated Program Operations Manager to join the central PMO team. In this role, she or he will be a key member of the Asia Global Selling PMO Brand Success Team, providing critical support to drive greater efficiency, productivity, consistency, scalability, and impact. The successful candidate must be able to work directly, in a hands-on way, with multiple stakeholders and business teams, on multiple programs and projects at one time, as well as provide solutions that are highly usable, scalable, extensible, and maintainable. She or He needs to be passionate about her/his work, self-motivated, detail oriented and have excellent problem-solving abilities, as well as superb communication and program/project management skills, and will be able to communicate complex analytical results, both written and verbally, in a clear and easy-to-understand way. The candidate will also be required to deal with highly ambiguous problems, identify root cause, devise and drive towards simple solutions to complex problems.

Key job responsibilities

• Partner with program/product leaders to develop strategy and set goals to drive new product Seller adoption.

• Accumulate in-depth Seller learning under each profile and generate business insights to help Sellers grow.

• Drive business insights generation and provide guidance to account management team to help generate actionable next steps, and improve account management efficiency.

• Co-work with multiple stakeholder / business teams to develop new business initiatives and translate into execution

• Structures work flow across the team to effectively implement each workstream & related operational activity

• Develop, implement and automate new and existing processes in a standardized and scalable format, while leverage global resources to drive improvement based on local needs whenever possible

• Innovate to improve Seller experience via continuously engagement with internal partners to drive business process improvement through deeply data analysis and seller engagement practice

Basic Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience leading delivery of large, cross functional programs, preferably in Program management and Sales Operations, or other relevant experience

• Strong business analysis and functional experience, including requirements gathering, creating/deploying solutions to end users

• In-depth understanding of business processes related to Sales, Marketing, Support, and Operations

• Impeccable attention to detail, passion for processes, systems/tools, and data analytic

• Proven analytical skills and demonstrated ability to manage the business “by numbers”. Must be metrics-driven

• Exceptional customer obsession with a passion for working backwards from the needs of field organizations

• Strong bias for action, highly organized and ability to complete a high volume of tasks and projects with little to no guidance and tight deadlines in dynamic business environment

• Excellent verbal/written communication and presentation skills in both English and Chinese

• Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, computer science or relevant field of study

Preferred Qualifications

• MBA preferred.

• Experience in e-Commerce and/or in a hi-tech B2B sales organization.

• Experience in inventing and delivering efficiency mechanisms in startup environments.

• Experience in consulting, project management, finance, pre-sales or account management would be an advantage.
