Summary

  • Continue develop the layout design guide and check list.

  • Lead a layout team to work on a project

  • Key interface present layout team

  • Develop Layout design for server/storage/communication products.

Detailed Description

Specific Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead a project for layout work, including layout plan, design, verify check, and resource & schedule control.

  • Work directly with EE/ME/SI/POWER/customers to evaluate design tradeoffs and optimize design performance / risk / cost / manufacturability

  • Generate and manage the layout constraints following the SI’s Layout guideline.

  • Summarize layout experience base on the project’s guideline, requirement and feedback as training material, and training other layout engineers.

  • Self-motivated, hard-working, capable of completing assignments under the pressure of urgent schedule and high design requirements. Can accept shift work and be willing to travel if needed.

  • Top down and details orientated.

  • Drive issues to root cause, logical problem solving.

  • Aggressively drive tasks independently and to seek out information internally, externally.

Knowledge/Skills/Competencies

Qualifications:

  • Good written and oral communication in English;

  • Bachelor degree with electronics and related industry

  • Work as a layout engineer and on storage or server or communication products for more than 10 years.

  • Understand electrical/SI/PI/power mechanical/thermal constraints, select the best strategy for layout implementation.

  • Familiar with EMC&EMI layout requirement.

  • In-depth knowledge of PCB&PCBA, including manufactory process and constraints rule, familiar with IPC standard is preferred.

  • Extensive computer and ECAD tools knowledge, Cadence Allegro V17.x & Valor Trilogy 5000/NPI preferred

  • Communications – logically, clear, concise, both written and spoken.

Physical Demands

Desired Skills :

  • Lead a complex project PCBs design, up to 56 layers, 56G/112G/224G.

  • Top-down (Breakdown) the PCB design from Planning to detail PCB design.

  • Supervises designers and troubleshooting and solving software problems.

Typical Experience

  • Work as a layout engineer and on storage or server or communication products for more than 10 years.

Typical Education

Bachelor degree with electronics and related industry.
