The Cadence Channel Partner Sales Development Director is responsible for defining, implementing and measuring global initiatives and programs that support the annual CCP growth projections while working with the Cadence System Sales Team (SST) region sales leaders and the relevant Cadence business units. The number of CCPs and their diversity by market segment is expected to increase over the next several years. Establishing and communicating the evolving “as is” condition of the CCP community and then refining the programs during the year is critical.
The core elements of the role are:
The CCP network is expected to grow annually, defining and implementing global growth programs is critical. This can include but limited to: new product promotions, SPIFFs, focus market segment programs, etc. Measurable goals are expected for any given program.
As the number of CCPs in the community grows defining requirements for new CCPs to meet the Cadence Intelligent System Design strategy is expected. For example, the acquisition of AWR requires a CCP plan to expand the customer base served by AWR products.
Continued CCP business analysis with regular reporting of progress against key growth metrics is expected along with recommendations to adjust management of the CCPs to extend growth or adjust to correct.
Working cross organizationally is important in that alignment with each sales region along with the Customer & PCB Group (CPG) is required for success.
The candidates must have the following background and experiences:
Channel management background in a software industry, preferably in PCB and systems and/or EDA.
Marketing background to support the required business and product analysis needed in the role.
Technical degree in a related field, though a BSEE or MSEE is preferred
Strong, referenceable cross organizational and interpersonal skills given the diverse community of people both in Cadence and in the CCP network.
Demonstrated success working with sales organizations and an understanding of the sales process.
