About the role

  • Our Asia Merchant team, composed of 6 people, is integrated in the Global Merchant department and focuses on sales management and commercial activities for Peroxides business in collaboration with the rest of the functions..

  • As a Sales and Marketing Manager, you will work on the Proxides account portfolio in China and support the opportunity pipelines with the global business development team. You will get the opportunity to contribute to the roadmap of the Merchant business line and have a positive impact on the success of Solvay.

  • You will be accountable for:

  • Identify and develop new sales opportunities, assess customer needs and potential, propose a business development and action plan

  • Produce accurate opportunities lists and forecasts

  • Ensure sales and profitability of assigned Customers/prospects in China.

  • Define, establish, implement the business and action plans in order to achieve sales and profit objectives

  • He/She will drive sales through channel management and deploy strategy for both Direct/Indirect sales.

  • Manage local opportunities and project pipes to ensure successful commercialization

  • Manage commercial excellence initiatives in accordance with business targets

  • Ensure constant feedback of market trend, competitive movement and customer requirements to regional commercial team, BD team, production and supply chain.

  • Manage local sales activities to ensure effective time and cost spent on customers

  • We offer a permanent contract based on hybrid working mode.

About you

  • Relevant education degree or equivalent in Bachelor/ Master Degree in Chemistry/ Chemical Engineering/ MBA (preferred).

  • At least 8 years of experience either on sales and marketing or on business development in the chemical industry

About the pay and benefits

  • Attractive and equitable pay for all: compensation is determined within a range to foster your development in the role. While the primary country base pay reasonably expected for this role is 527,000 to 659,000, your salary may ultimately be higher or lower based on your skills and experience. Additionally, we provide a competitive total rewards package that includes a bonus and/or other incentives.
