Job Responsibilities:

-Plan and implement identification and development of phase-appropriate chemical syntheses and processes to ensure high-quality and on time delivery of API related projects.

-Lead the team with management on priorities to drive the discovery, development and implementation of greener and more cost-effective synthetic routes.

-Represent and organize activities in the team and assume specific responsibility for departmental operation commensurate with technical ability and experience.

-Effectively communicates the project progress among the cross functional departments and different parties.

-Build, train and supervise emerging team of in-house process chemistry scientists.

-Comply with applicable regulations and performs all work in a safe manner. Maintain proper records in accordance with SOPs and policies. Demonstrate corporate and CoC culture.

Required Capabilities

-3+ years related experience with a PhD or 9+ years related experience with a master's degree or 11+ years with a bachelor’s degree.

-Preference for those with at least two years of experience managing a team and demonstrating leadership.

-Demonstrated broad knowledge of synthetic organic chemistry and fundamental understanding of multiple disciplinary technologies, equipment and scale up/ engineering knowledge required for process scale up and chemical manufacturing.

-Must be able to work in a team environment, provide training and guidance to laboratory personnel and act as a leader in absence of supervisor.

-Track record in innovative thinking and demonstrate a high level of accountability, agility (especially learning agility) and innovation capabilities.

-Fluent English is required. As part of a global community, you will need excellent communication and team-working skills
