Job Description

This role will support GM China business and organization growth, as well as the business growth in GM China joint ventures. This position will be responsible for the commercial excellence and business excellence projects especially for GM China corporate projects and premium import business. You will be responsible for operational excellence projects, project management, project coaching, and necessary trainings, as well as to engage with top leaders in both GM China and JVs.

People engagement is quite important for this role, you will be charged to work seamlessly with Executive Champions, Business Leaders, and Stakeholders across the ecosystem to determine scope of projects, define and schedule resource plans in addition to outlining the deployment strategy, goals, and priorities.

As such, you will be our expert in communicating process, status, and issues. In addition to the application of your technical mastery, your expertise will be leveraged to train, coach, and mentor the future of Operational Excellence. Your strategic thinking, knowledge in auto industry, consultancy, FMCG, or other industries are warmly welcomed.

You may need to travel to different plants across China but mainly in east China, the travel frequency will be 5% to 20% according to the business needs.

Additional Job Description

Qualifications:

Basic process excellence experience, strategic thinking, and strong logic is a must-have, it would be preferred if you have experiences in auto industry, or consulting firms (include but not limited to McKinsey, Boston, Bain, PwC, KPMG, Deloitte, E&Y ), or FMCG industries, or internal process control experiences.

Basic lean and six sigma capability is a plus, it would be preferred if you are a certified black belt or master black belt, but it’s not mandatory.

Other innovation and quality tools are welcome, such as Design thinking, TRIZ, PMP, Scrum Master, and Agile.

English as working language, and it’s preferred if you have multi-national company’s working experiences.

People with can-do ownership and open mindset are welcome.

Full professional proficiency in mandarin & English (both written and verbal) is required
