Cadence Design Systems, Inc. IT -Staff Systems Engineer in Shanghai, China

Responsibilities :

  • Work with other members of the IT to ensure high uptime of all IT services i.e. Site LAN / WAN , storage , servers, etc.

  • Unix & VM administration & support for the AP region.

  • Be part of the Global VM team to support other regions when required.

  • Provide support to Cadence external customers: work with AE/pre-sales team to troubleshoot EDA tools in customer environment.

  • Review diagnostics and assess the functionality and efficiency of systems.

  • Work on all user requirements/issues thru Jira tickets.

  • Follow up ad-hoc tasks and projects.

    Requirements:

    Educational :

  • Engineering graduate (Computer/Electronics).

    Must have :

  • Experience specialized in System Administration working on Redhat Linux, SUSE Linux, AIX, Cent OS.

  • Involved in installation, configuration and administration of RHEL 4.x/5.x/6.x/7.1, SLES 10/11/12).

  • Experience in System Administration, System Builds, Server builds, Installs, Upgrades, Patches, Migration & Trouble shooting.

  • Good working experience in tools, i.e. NX, VnC .

  • Experience in VMWare ESX administration to support & troubleshoot issues.

  • Should have good networking concepts and HW support experience.

  • Ability to priorities tasks and work under pressure

  • Collaboration capability, team work sprint, personable, professional demeanour.

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills in English.

    Preferred :

  • Experience in AWS support.

  • Experience using DevOps tools such as Ansible, puppet.

  • Experience in Nutanix support.
