Purpose of the position
We are looking for a trainee in our Production Engineer team. The position is located in Shanghai Lingang. The trainee period lasts from June to December. This position offers a great opportunity for students to participate in the improvement of Production line and Lean activities.
Main tasks and responsibilities
Acquiring knowledge of Lean methodology and continuous improvement.
Understanding IE tools, participating in on-site improvement activities and projects.
To continue to improve production efficiency and quality by optimizing assembly processes, identifying and reducing waste.
Familiar with Lean concept, 5S, Poka-yoke, layout, and 7 types of wastes to improve processes, safety, tooling, etc
Familiar with OHS and Ergonomics to improve.
Use lean methodology and analysis tools, such as Fishbone diagrams, VSM, A3, Bottleneck, Heijunka, 6 Sigma to improve.
Independent learning and analysis ability and lesson learned, willingness to share and present.
What you’ll need to succeed
Background in mechanical or industrial engineering.
Effective communication skills.
Problem or critical situation-solving skill.
Understanding of hydraulics.
Proficient in English, at least in reading.
Familiar with CAD or other drawings software.
Familiar with office software, Microsoft or Google suites.
Proactive with a strong sense of responsibility.
Good logical skills/thinking
