How will you make an impact:

The Service organization of Thermo Fisher Scientific’s Material & Structural Analysis Division has an exciting opportunity to expand the Global Service Sales team by establishing the Inside Service Sales team. The team will help drive revenue growth in the classic service contract portfolio and sell new services to our customers.

What will you do:

  • Meet or exceed a defined sales plan; forecast sales performance accurately.

  • Develop and implement a territory plan to grow business within your assigned territory.

  • Establish strong relationships with customers, build trust and rapport, and provide ongoing support.

  • Make daily outbound telephone calls and communicate via email to all organizational levels and functional areas in accounts where purchasing decisions are made.

  • Capitalize on training opportunities to develop in-depth knowledge of service and support offerings in order to proactively uncover new opportunities to generate revenue growth.

  • Develop interpersonal skills to work within cross-functional teams to achieve objectives, lead sales territory activities and communicate efforts clearly.

  • Communicate key driven activities, market trends, and changing customer directions to the organization.

  • Use data sources to analyze and develop sales opportunities with the greatest return on investment.

  • Support marketing programs as assigned by the Regional Service Sales Manager.

  • Complete assigned tasks and reports in a timely and complete manner while improving productivity during key selling time.

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Bachelor's degree (or higher) and related experience in sales or field service is preferred.

  • 3+ years sales (or sales-supporting) experience with a track record of overachieving sales targets strongly preferred.

  • Highly developed negotiation skills for customer interaction and closure of sales and other issues.

  • Excellent, enthusiastic, clear communication skills to a diverse audience is critical to the success of this position.

  • Excellent telephone and communications skills, and a high proficiency at negotiating complex deals.

  • Knowledge of MS Dynamics 365 or other CRM systems is an advantage.

  • Travel (up to 20%) will be required for occasional sales calls, sales meetings, and internal meetings.
