Kemin Industries Head of Finance in Shanghai, China

Overview

The position carries the overall responsibility for the financial security of Company assets. As a member of the executive team, the position is responsible for helping set the strategic direction of the company, developing financial models for evaluation of potential investments, and coordinating the key finance and functions. The position also has the responsibility to hire and develop the staff for the Finance Department.

Responsibilities

· Strategic Financial Leadership

  • Provide strategic financial direction and oversight for the company's operations in China.

  • Ensure alignment with the US headquarters to support global financial strategies.

  • Oversee all financial operations, including accounting, financial reporting, treasury, tax, and risk management.

  • Ensure compliance with local and international financial regulations and standards.

  • Collaborate with the global finance team to align with worldwide financial goals and standards.

  • Work closely with the China President to establish and refine financial standards and targets that are specific to the Chinese market.

  • Drive process improvements and digitalization to optimize financial operations and reduce costs.

  • Monitor and evaluate financial performance against targets and identify areas for improvement.

· Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)

  • Lead the development and execution of comprehensive financial plans and analyses tounderpin strategic initiatives.

  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to support strategic and financial health.

  • Focus and prioritize finance projects and assume responsibility for their success.

  • Oversee the preparation of monthly financial packages timely and accurately, insuring the most relevant data is provided in an easy to read format.

  • Develop and manage annual budgets for the company

· Customer Service Management

  • Utilize financial data to analyze and understand customer behavior, provide support of Sales order management and transportation for business line

  • Develop financial strategies that enhance customer satisfaction and contribute to long-term business growth.

· Leadership and Team Development

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance team to deliver excellence in financial services.

  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.

ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS: Normal office conditions.

TRAVEL: up to 50% domestic and potential for international travel..

Qualifications

QUALIFICATION & SKILLS & EXPERIENCES:

  • Master degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; an MBA or CPA is preferred.

  • A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in senior financial roles, with at least 5 years in a CFO or equivalent position.

  • Proven experience in a multinational manufacturing environment, with exposure to both US and Chinese markets.

  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.

  • Proficiency in English and Mandarin, both written and spoken.
