JOB SUMMARY

  • Manages the forward planning with agile execution of marketing initiatives to drive audience awareness and engagement for premium and select brands in Greater China.

  • Orchestrate brand creatives connected with insightful thought leadership, systematic frameworks, as well as compelling storytelling for brands at the right time, right audience through right channels.

  • Lead and collaborate for effective marketing to drive brand health and topline performance

  • Instill a culture of hypothesis testing, measurement and insight driven approach as well as business case justifications

The job location will be in Shanghai.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

Education, Experience & Requirements

  • Twelve or more years of multi-brand marketing operations experience at scale in Greater China

  • University degree required.

  • Languages: Proficiency in English and Mandarin.

  • Experience briefing and managing the work related to agencies and vendors is required.

  • Demonstrated ability to take complex projects and efforts from conception to successful execution.

  • Demonstrated ability in creative content development and management is required.

  • Acumen to solve problems quickly, think creatively, and satisfy speed-to-market requirements.

  • Acumen to simultaneously manage multiple projects with critical path planning to budget.

  • Team player and contribute to a positive as well as engaging culture.

CORE WORK ACTIVITIES

Strategy & Planning

  • Liaison with HQ relevant marketing teams and GC business stakeholders to set, communicate and ensure smooth execution of vision and strategy for brand marketing

  • Manage GC brand marketing budget and lead team/agencies to deliver against aligned business targets. Produce and execute brand marketing annual plan/calendar.

  • Understand the brand strategy, positioning, voice, strategic pillars and competitive environment.

  • Constantly monitors and shares industry and cross industry trends with suggested actions to drive relevancy in GC market

  • Lead brand marketing partnerships through criteria rating to deliver desired outcomes.

  • Engage agencies, as required, to deliver the creative design and execution process by budget and scope

  • Develop and update marketing toolkits for multi-team and property use

Drive Brand Performance and Brand Health in GC

  • Lead brand marketing campaign, liaison with media, social, area marketing and comms team.

  • Localize global brand marketing messaging and initiate reginal campaigns to drive brand health and brand performance.

  • Responsible to partner with Brand Leaders, Area Director of Marketing /Comms and media team for regular brand marketing /communication with the field and hotels.

  • Manages the brand marketing partnerships planning and execution to ensure win-win synergy

  • Provides new hotel openings and/or conversions marketing support are communicated on brand

  • Responsible for executing customer-facing brand communications, not limited to brand-voice copywriting, use of the various assets and materials to ensure an on-brand communication style.

  • Interface with the loyalty marketing team to drive for association our Brands with affiliation to Marriott Bonvoy loyalty program
