Job Description

As a Feature DevQA - AD Quality Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of AI powered system paired with advanced sensor systems, for the Active Safety features on GM programs. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software developers, system engineers, and product managers, to define test strategies, develop test plans, and execute test cases. Your daily job responsibilities will include:

• Working closely with product managers to understand feature requirements and translate them into test cases.

• Documenting test results, tracking defects, and providing regular status reports to stakeholders.

• Conducting release software testing before the official release for Active Safety controllers set (ADCU, LIDAR, Radars, etc.).

• Continuously improving testing methodologies and processes to enhance overall product quality.

• Participating in design and test result reviews to ensure adherence to quality standards.

• Assisting the safety team in defining Dev QA FuSa (Functional Safety) requirements, developing testing cadence, and requirement test cases.

• Supporting DVUL testing activities.

• Reviewing test cases and test data in collaboration with partners, safety team, and validation team.

Additional Job Description

Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications):

• Master's degree or PhD's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

• 3+ years of experience in software testing or quality assurance in the automotive industry.

• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and SAFe framework.

• Experience with test case management tools and defect tracking systems.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal in Mandarin and English.

• Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.

• Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.

• Python test script development for testing automation.

• Knowledge of active safety technologies and autonomous driving systems.

• Experience with automotive safety standards and functional safety requirements.

• Hands-on testing with Serial Data Communication (CAN/Eth/LIN) Diagnostics and CAN tools.

What Can Give You a Competitive Advantage (Preferred Qualifications):

• ISTQB or other software testing certifications.

• Familiarity with JIRA, JAMA, or similar project management tools.

• Experience with test automation frameworks and tools.

• Strong leadership and team management skills.

• Continuous improvement mindset and willingness to learn new technologies.

• 3+ years of experience in Active Safety feature validation.

• Vehicle performance integration experience.

• Understanding of the capability of HIL test methods.

• DFSS Certification.
