This landscape technician role invites candidates with diverse landscape experience to join our team. As a crucial member, you'll be entrusted with the cultivation and care of the landscaping and grounds surrounding businesses and buildings. Location: Shakopee, MN Hours: Monday Friday 7:30 am 5:30 pm Weekends required when needed with overtime pay! Wage: $18 - $26/hr. DOE Benefits of the landscape technician: Health Dental Vision Life Short-Term Disability (STD) Non-work accident insurance available after 90 days Duties of the landscape technician: Execute groundskeeping and building maintenance tasks. Mow lawns with precision, utilizing hand or riding lawnmowers. Trim and edge around walks, flower beds, and walls. Enhance landscapes by planting flowers, grass, shrubs, and bushes. Apply pesticides to eliminate pests like mosquitos, wasps, ticks, and others. Keep walkways clear of debris through regular sweeping. Safely cut down tree limbs posing a danger. Trim shrubs, pull weeds, and perform minor repairs on equipment used in groundskeeping. Install lawn furniture and enhance grounds with rock, cement, lighting, water features, and furniture. Perform tasks like raking, mulching, and pruning to maintain the grounds. Water plants and grass as needed and apply fertilizer for optimal growth. Requirements of the landscape technician: Experience operating landscaping equipment. Knowledge of basic engineering and construction principles and methods. Proficiency in English, both spoken and written. Excellent balance and eye-hand coordination. Proven experience in landscaping is a plus.
