What’s the job?
The Inventory Control Clerk provides support to warehouse and shipping inventory control functions. This role is a key contributor to achieving the facilities objectives for shipping/inventory accuracy and customer fulfillment using the SAP platform.- In addition, the role provides a variety of shipping and receiving tasks per Saint-Gobain’s inventory control guidelines and logistics standard operating procedures.
Key Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Monitors all inbound and outbound traffic throughout the facility to minimize wait times for loading and unloading.
Trouble shooting, coordinating with customer service and reconciling problems involving shipments, job site issues, and customer returns.
Develop and maintain positive relations with truck lines.
Manage shipping lanes to maximize loading capacities while meeting customer requirements.
Participate in productivity, cost savings & safety improvement efforts.
Processes all material movement transactions in SAP with a very high level of accuracy (transfer orders, scrap and bin to bin movements)
Generate cycle counting tasks and reconcile inventory to ensure accurate Inventory Levels are maintained in SAP in both the inventory and bin Level.
Processes return shipments from customers.
Collaborates with others in Logistics Department to continually improve customer service key measurements – on-time shipments and 14-day shipment targets.
Support and maintain Warehouse stock location system and code dates to ensure proper inventory turns and adherence to FIFO principles.
Processes customer shipments using the outbound process flow in SAP to ensure optimal location loading, efficient manpower usage and accurate inventory transactions.
Follows the logistics standard operating procedures.
Actively troubleshoots order issues with SAP.
Receives incoming finished goods/raw materials and verifies accuracy using the SAP system.
Processes miscellaneous paperwork & logs data.
Provides general customer service to customers and transportation providers.
Works with inventory system to create reports and analytical information required to resolve issues with orders and inventory.
Assist with the product physical Inventory process.
Investigates shipping & inventory errors using root cause analysis to determine corrective action(s).
Provides direction and guidance to hourly Forklift Operators.

What do you bring?
Minimum high school diploma.
Two years of warehouse and supply chain experience that includes solid working knowledge of warehouse and shipping policies, procedures, operations and general transportation processes.
Proficiency with computer systems including Microsoft Office and SAP. SAP experience is preferred.
Strong team leadership and communication skills with the ability to deal calmly and effectively with high stress situations, sensitivity to other’s needs and positive demeanor.
Excellent attention to details and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment & translate data into useful information.
Able to support disaster recovery plans to ensure customers receive uninterrupted service during times of crisis.
Excellent attendance practices are required.
Certain states require pay information be provided in job postings. The national pay range for this position is $52,000 to $80,000 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount is 8% of base salary based on company and individual performance measures. The total target cash range (base pay and annual bonus) for this position, is $56,160 to $86,400.
