We’re looking for a Environmental Compliance Specialist - Shakopee, MN Hybrid or Fully On-Site

As an Environmental Compliance Specialist, you will support cross-functional efforts to comply with global standards and regulations impacting product regulatory and environmental compliance.

This role is eligible for On-site or hybrid work, which means the selected candidate will work from our Shakopee, MN office a portion of their time, based on company needs.

How you will make an impact:

  • Work closely with Compliance, Procurement, Engineering, and product development teams to create an overall compliance strategy that minimizes health and safety risks to people and the environment.

  • Identify and formally track evolving product regulatory requirements on a global basis and notify Procurement, Engineering and R&D of cutover dates to ensure adequate planning.

  • Support and track product-level data by surveying and working with direct materials suppliers to ensure compliance with applicable regulations (i.e., presence of restricted or prohibited chemicals, carbon emissions data, and avoidance of conflict minerals).

  • Assist with regulatory submissions, updating and managing website disclosures, responding to customer inquiries related to product compliance information (e.g., RoHS, REACH, WEEE, other compliance statements), updating internal bills of materials (BOMs), and maintaining Product Compliance page on Entrust website.

  • Partner with Engineering and R&D teams to verify designs comply with existing and emerging product regulatory requirements and assist with product labelling requirements.

  • Support Compliance with product lifecycle assessments (LCAs) to measure end-to-end carbon emissions for relevant products.

  • Support Trade Compliance with country of origin analyses.

  • Identify continuous improvement opportunities to strengthen global compliance strategy.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Environment, or related field

  • 2+ years of experience in engineering, procurement, or compliance role

  • Must be able to lawfully work within the US and have unrestricted work authorization for US

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Understanding of regulations impacting restricted/prohibited chemicals (e.g., RoHS, REACH, Prop 65)

  • Understanding of external ESG or sustainability reporting frameworks (e.g., TCFD, GRI, SASB)

  • Experience with Agile PLM tool

  • Experience tracking and managing regulatory requirements on a global scale

  • Experience gathering and reporting sustainability data at the enterprise and/or product level

  • Ability to work collaboratively and build consensus cross-functionally

  • Comfort managing large quantities of complex data and learning new systems

  • Comfort communicating with external stakeholders

  • Strong writing skills

  • Must be proficient with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
