SUMMARY: The housekeeper/janitor is responsible for ensuring cleanliness of the facility inside and outside for the employees and visitors. This position reports to the Quality Manager and duties may include stocking supplies, cleaning floors, dusting surfaces and more.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Remove all trash from receptacles in common areas and offices
Dust surfaces in all common areas, entrances and office spaces. This can include ceiling vents, walls and door frames
Sweep and mop floors in all common areas including office spaces; this includes behind vending machines and under the coffee maker
Use floor scrubber in dry storage areas to alleviate the potential micro hits
Maintain the cleanliness of the outside of the facility to include; pulling weeds, picking up trash, emptying cigarette receptacle and cleaning windows.
Place salt as needed in the parking lot during winter months.
Adhere to daily, weekly monthly cleaning checklist
Retrieve the mail and take mail out for delivery
Assist with set up and clean-up of employee events and meetings
Assist with employee uniform organization and needs
May assist with Quality dept. with data entry
Assist with locker clean-out of former employees
Wash/sanitize facility dishes, helmets, safety glasses, boot trays, and used boots as needed
Keep cheesemaker room, locker rooms, conference rooms and dry storage areas free of clutter and organized.
Maintain company, employee and/or visitor confidentiality
Any other duties that may be assigned
QUALIFICATIONS/MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
High School Diploma or GED
Effective verbal communication
Ability to make decisions based on standard GMP practices
Presents a pleasant, helpful and professional demeanor
Basic computer skills including e-mail, word processing, and spreadsheets
Ability to multi-task and prioritize under pressure
Work scheduled shifts and adhere to schedule as needed
Detail oriented and quality driven
Ability to work with minimum to moderate supervision beyond initial training
