Providence St. Joseph Health CNA - Long Term Care Temporary in Seward, Alaska

Under direct supervision this position is accountable to the RN to facilitate a safe and secure environment for the patient/resident, family and providers in the department in completion of the duties delegated to them for the shift and maintaining clear communication between the needs of the patient/resident through the RN. These activities focus on maintaining a safe, hazard free, clean environment which facilitates patient/resident focused care

Nursing services delivered by the CNA under the scope of their practice are supervised by and report to the licensed nurses.

Required qualifications:

  • Coursework/Training and Successful completion of Caring Reliably, Culinary Training, ServSafe, and Dining Assistance within four months of hire.

  • Coursework/Training and Completed training as a Certified Nursing Assistant

  • Upon hire: Alaska Nursing Assistant Certification License

  • Within 30 days of hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association

Preferred qualifications:

  • 6 months of experience as a nurse aide, nursing assistant or personal care attendant in long term care or hospital.
