job summary:

? Manage all general ledger activities, including chart of accounts, journal entries, reconciliations, and

monthly and year-end closing processes.

? Supervise year-end audit and relationship with independent accounting firm.

? Supervise the Accounts Payables Department , ensuring the accurate and timely processing of purchase

orders, payables, and employee expense reports. Supervise the cash management relationship with Bank

of America or other outside institutions. Ensure cash controls are operating effectively.

? Supervise the Accounts Receivable Department, ensuring that customer invoices are submitted in a timely

manner, cash is collected within agreed to terms, and applications to customer accounts are made

accurately.

? Works with Vice President of Finance to establish and maintain the organization's accounting policies and

procedures.

? Manage the preparation of all financial reports. Ensure financial statements are presented in accordance

with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. .

? Establish and maintain systems and controls that verify the integrity of all systems, processes and data,

and enhance the company's value.

? Respond to Executives as assigned with accurate and timely work to facilitate his/her financial needs.

? Participate in a wide variety of special projects and compile a variety of special reports.

? Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

? Bachelor's Degree in accounting or Finance

? CPA certification, strongly preferred

? Five to ten years of senior level accounting

? Experience with NetSuite ERP system preferred but not mandatory

? Experience with basic computer skills, Microsoft word, PowerPoint, and Excel

PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT

? This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment

such as computers, phones, copiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Largely sedentary role, however,

some light physical activity is required.

responsibilities:

  • Identifies key levers to drive business improvement and provide leadership to ensure implementation of business improvement opportunities

  • Determines, in conjunction with plant management, targeted goals for performance measures of quality, productivity, delivery, cycle time, inventory optimization and profitability

  • Deploys business unit initiatives

  • Daily reporting management, monthly forecasting, and annual planning

  • Analyzes data for decision making and tracking performance progress

  • Coordinates capital appropriation process and post-project reviews

  • Ensures completion of Howmet's Sarbanes-Oxley requirements for internal controls

  • Performs job duties in a safe and efficient manner

  • Complies with Howmet's and business unit financial reporting requirements

  • Business travel may be required

  • Performs other work-related duties as necessary
