Abbott would like to invite an experienced and accomplished sales professional to join our Technical Sales & Design (TSD) team within the Core Diagnostics Division.

We are looking for someone who thrives on leveraging technical knowledge to drive commercial conversations and enjoys shaping end-to-end solutions through consultative discussions.

Reporting to the Enterprise Sales Director, and working with our Enterprise Account Teams, you will be responsible for forging deep and trusted relationships with operational stakeholders at all levels and departments throughout our largest customers.

As a Technical Sales & Design consultant, you will play a pivotal role in understanding our customers’ key operational goals and challenges. Your ability to develop insights, manage, and execute key commercial projects is essential for long-term sustainable success.

Whether working collaboratively in a team or independently, your focus will be on consulting, designing, and providing solutions that enhance operations, ultimately creating value by delivering measurably better performance.

Taking ownership and responsibility for the development of laboratory strategies and securing operational (Laboratory) votes for our end-to-end solutions, is central to the role.

What does a day in this role looks like:

Support solution differentiation & C-Suite execution by aligning and winning the operational vote.

In this pivotal role your key responsibilities would include but not be limited to:

  • Build Strategic Relationships : Seek out and establish connections with traditional and non-traditional stakeholders across the Laboratory business who may be impacted by the Abbott End-to-End solution portfolio.

  • Leverage Tools & Technical Knowledge: Utilize team tools and processes, to establish factual and consultative credibility. Combining data, workflow, observational insights, competitive knowledge, and solution design tools to effectively demonstrate WHY Abbott .

  • Collaborate with Enterprise Account Team : Work with the cross-functional team to identify unique customer insights and goals, aiding in solution alignment and differentiation. (Qualifying and quantifying the impact of proposed solutions)

  • Align with Account Owners : Regularly align with account owners to prioritize opportunity activity for the next 24 months.

  • Provide Consultative Feedback : Offer consultative feedback on end-to-end diagnostics solutions to large, complex enterprise accounts, focusing on retention, penetration, and growth to generate profitability.

  • Meaningful Alignment: Align Abbott products and services with our customers cycle’s strategic initiatives.

  • Proven track record in delivering revenue targets is essential.

  • Powerful customer communication with confident presentation skills is required.

  • Established knowledge of healthcare markets and medical technology is preferred.

  • Past employment in fast moving consumable goods and cold calling is desirable.

  • Past employment in laboratory medicine is highly desirable.

  • Workflow consultation experience and or LEAN SIGMA certificates are highly desirable.

  • Must possesses adequate business level English language skills.
