Summary of purpose/major responsibilities

Medical Science Liaisons (MSLs) engage with healthcare professionals, institutions and payers, in a non- promotional manner, to identify and address their needs. MSLs use their scientific expertise to communicate and form partnerships to deliver the medical strategy, capture actionable insights and ultimately improve patient pathways and outcomes.

MSL Role:

  • To build and develop enduring value-based trusted partnerships, through scientific engagement and exchange,withhealthcareprofessionalsandinstitutionsin arapidlyevolvinghealthcareenvironment

  • Toengageproactivelyandreactivelywithhealthcareprofessionals,payersand institutions.

  • ToexecutetheCountryMedicalPlan.

  • Togenerateactionableandvaluable insightsandproposesolutions.

  • Tocreatecrossfunctionalpartnershipsandcollaboratewithinternalstakeholders.

  • AllMSLscomplywiththelocalandcorporatecomplianceframeworksforexternaland internalinteractions and complete all global/local mandatory trainings.

Key accountabilities:

Scientific Engagement and Exchange (60%)

Through scientific engagement and exchange, MSLs build and develop enduring needs-based peer- to-peer relationships with healthcare professionals, institutions and payers.

  • MSLsunderstandtheirperspectivesandneedsinordertoadaptandberelevantand valued.

  • Acting as partners, MSLs identify areas of mutual collaboration, developing and implementingstrategicmedicalactionplansalignedtotheCountryMedicalPlan.

  • MSLscommunicateinanaccurate,fairandbalancedmanner,thebenefits,risks, appropriate use and clinical value of our products and solutions.

  • MSLs operate independently (with minimal supervision) and develops healthcare networks tonavigatethecomplexlocalhealthcareenvironmentsatnational,regionalandlocallevel.

Insight Generation (20%)

  • MSLsgenerateandshareactionable andvaluableinsightsandpropose solutions/actionsina timely manner, utilizing appropriate tools available.

  • MSLsgatherdata,factsandobservationsontheexternalhealthcareenvironmenttowards generating internal insights.

Internal Collaboration (10%)

  • MSLsworkcloselywiththeirofficebasedmedicalcounterparttoshape, developandco- execute the Country Medical Plan.

  • MSLsdevelopandmaintainaninternal stakeholdernetwork.

  • MSLsprovidescientificandtechnicalsupporttowardsmaterialdevelopment(alignedwith relevant policies) for internal and external stakeholders, where applicable.

  • MSLsprovidescientificsupportforinternalfunctionssuchascommercial, marketaccess, regulatory/PV and R&D regarding scientific trainings and updates.

Supporting Evidence Generation (5%)

  • MSLssupportdevelopmentandexecutionofclinicaltrials.

  • MSLsidentifypotentialdatasourcesanddeveloppartnershipsfor RWE.

Training / Compliance (5%)

  • CompleteallMSLSOPtrainingsandallothercorporateassignedcompliancetrainings.

  • CompletetheMSLonboarding(andcertification)program.

  • CommitstoapplyingandcontinuedpracticeoftheScientificEngagementModelandInsights process.

  • Continuetodevelopandmaintaintechnicaltherapyareaandsoftskills.

  • Createindividualdevelopmentplanalignedwithcareeraspirations.

About you

Required Education, Experience and Training

  • Medical,pharmacyorpostgraduatelevelsciencedegree. (required)

  • FluencyinspokenandwrittenbusinessEnglish.(highlyregarded)

  • Anin-depthknowledgeofthediseasestate,therapeuticarea,therelevantproductsintheportfolioandin the pipeline. (highly preferred)

  • Strongcommunicationandpresentationskillstosimplifycomplextopics,good negotiationandnetworking skills (highly preferred)

  • Familiarity withomnichanneltoolsandbeingabletocommunicateviadigitalchannelsfrom remote(non- office based) environment. (required)

  • Agoodunderstandingof(orpriorexperiencein)clinicaldevelopmentandclinicalresearch.Theabilityto critically evaluate clinical study protocols, reports and publications. (Highly preferred)

  • Goodknowledgeofpharmacovigilanceandlocalregulatoryprocessanditsimpactontheproductportfolio. (highly preferred)

  • Strongbusinessacumen,understandingimportanceofandbeingabletobuildstrategicplansand implement medical initiatives. (highly preferred)

  • Rolemodelling,upholdingintegrityandethicsvaluesandadheringtohighstandards.(highly preferred)
