The Customer Service & Sales Specialist helps to improve the efficiency of our organization by enhancing customer service experience with the productivity of service operations and technical staff/ Field Service Engineers (FSEs). As such, the role is pivotal to our company’s field service operations, and it is responsible for the provision of customer technical support, triaging of instruments issues and the planning, dispatching and coordination of Field Service Engineer activities and supporting service contracts sales within the Selling Unit.

This position is part of the Leica Biosystems located in Seoul and will be hybrid. At Leica Biosystems, our vision is to advance cancer diagnostics and improve lives.

You will be a part of the Operations and report to the Operation Manager with a dotted line to the Service Manager responsible for managing spare part orders and inventory by liaising with all departments involved in fulfilling spare parts demands. In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

Technical assistance

  • Responding to Customer service requests via telephone, email, etc. and log the symptoms and instrument information via SFDC Service.

  • Scheduling Field Service Engineer visits at a mutually agreed time with the end customer and Field service Engineers ensure that Service Level Agreements are met.

Service Contracts

  • Pro-actively contact customers with contract proposal in advance of the expiry of their current contract or warranty. Also, track and follow up on contract quote that have had no response.

  • Upsell contracts to customers who are currently out of contract or have a lower tier of contract including Inside sales for service contract

Service Administration

  • Perform all service order activities and support FSE’s activity.

The essential requirements of the job include

  • Minimum Diploma in Biomedical engineering or any science related discipline.

  • Minimum 3-5 years in handling direct customers experience in Korea.

  • Minimum 3-5 years of Service engineer, Service sales, or Customer Care support experience with a leading medical device company preferred.

  • Fluent English in written/specking is preferred.
