Eurofins Business Development Manager, Biotherapeutic, Eurofins Discovery in Seoul, South Korea

This position will be responsible for selling, promoting and achieving the sales targets for Eurofins Discovery Biotherapeutics Services in the assigned territory. This role will support the global Biotherapeutics strategy. The position’s primary responsibility will be to develop new relationships with companies focused on large molecule discovery and effectively prospect to uncover new opportunities for the Eurofins Discovery Biotherapeutics business.

  • Responsible for sales of Eurofins Discovery Biotherapeutic services within South Korea

  • Instrumental in defining and supporting the global Biotherapeutics and Translational Biology  business development strategy in Asia Pacific

  • Works collaboratively with the Eurofins Discovery Biotherapeutics team to promote Eurofins Discovery to companies working in Biotherapeutics.

  • Work within a matrix structure with scientific teams in US and Taiwan

  • Passes on leads for DiscoverX products where applicable

  • Contributes to the global Biotherapeutics strategy by providing recommendations and feedback for both business development, marketing and operational strategy

  • Responsible for meeting sales targets and revenue growth targets for specified territory

  • Excellent understanding of the Biotherapeutics market globally, including target companies, size of market and emerging technologies/modalities etc.

  • Development and maintain high level client relationships through regular meetings, both face-to-face and virtual

  • Work with members of the sales team and operations to drive business

  • Maintain a high level of technical and application competence and utilize this knowledge to drive business.

  • Promote and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction

  • Performs other duties as assigned, example: attend trade shows, present capabilities

  • Use Eurofins Discovery’s CRM to log client meetings and significant calls as well as for the tracking of all opportunities and regularly update account plans

  • Complete expense reports per policy

To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  The requirements below are representative of the knowledge, skill or ability required. 

  • A minimum education of a B.S. in Pharmacology, Biology, Chemistry, Oncology, Immunology, or similar Life Science degree with demonstrated experience in selling large molecule discovery services. 

  • Consideration will also be given to a pharmacologist with business credentials (MBA)  

  • Excellent knowledge of the pharmaceutical drug development process particularly for Biotherapeutics

  • Understanding of or prior experience in the large molecule pharmaceutical market and proven ability to analyze and act on the global business trends to drive regional business development activities.

  • Exceptional business development, organization, negotiation and communication skills.

  • Valid Driver’s license

  • Located near major airport and ability to travel up to 40% time in support of driving business to meet revenue objectives.

  • Ability to do occasional international travel
