Responsibilities:

  • Foster Collaborative Relationships: Build and maintain productive, culturally sensitive relationships with patients, families, and colleagues, ensuring a healthy and supportive workplace environment.

  • Promote Patient and Staff Development: Provide effective teaching to patients, families, and new staff, applying adult learning principles; serve as a mentor or preceptor when needed.

  • Deliver Holistic Patient Care: Use the nursing process to create individualized care plans that address clinical, psychological, social, and spiritual needs.

  • Ensure Effective Communication: Maintain clear and comprehensive documentation and communicate effectively with care teams to support patient safety and continuity of care.

  • Support Professional Growth: Engage in ongoing professional development, participate in shared governance, and contribute to initiatives that enhance the quality of care.

  • Demonstrate Critical Thinking: Identify and address complex clinical and safety issues with sound judgment and problem-solving skills.

  • Commit to Quality Improvement: Actively participate in quality improvement efforts, identifying opportunities to enhance patient care and the practice environment.

  • Embrace Evidence-Based Practice: Utilize research and evidence-based methods to improve clinical outcomes and patient satisfaction.

  • Balance Work-Life Dynamics: Model healthy lifestyle habits and manage work-life integration effectively to sustain well-being.

  • Create a Healing Environment: Build compassionate and meaningful relationships that foster a patient-centered, supportive, and healing atmosphere

  • Education: BSN preferred

  • Licensure: Current RN license or Temporary Practice Permit (TPP). Multistate licensure may be required based on facility location.

  • Certifications: CPR/BLS certification required within 30 days of hire. National certification preferred.

  • Strong clinical judgment and critical thinking skills.

  • Ability to maintain positive, caring relationships with patients, families, and colleagues.

  • Physical stamina for frequent walking, standing, lifting, and positioning patients.

  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively within a complex environment.
