Direct Hire

Pay: $18-$25/hr DOE

Shifts Available:

A shift #1 5am-3pm. M-Thursday

C shift 7pm-5am M -Thursday

D shift #2 5am-6pm Friday, Saturday, Sunday

QC Bench Chemist

Position Summary: Are you seeking to expand your expertise with hands-on experience as a QC Bench Chemist? Join our team and immerse yourself in the world of Quality Control as a Bench Chemist. You'll have the opportunity to evaluate raw materials, oversee manufacturing processes, and ensure the excellence of our finished products.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess the quality of raw materials, work in progress, and finished goods.

  • Review formulas prior to manufacturing to ensure accuracy.

  • Assist the QA/QC Manager as necessary.

  • Perform basic calibration of laboratory equipment.

  • Utilize advanced analytical techniques such as UHPLC, GC, and FT-IR.

  • Sample and analyze incoming raw materials to guarantee compliance with specifications.

  • Maintain standards and prepare retention samples.

  • Maintain accurate test records and perform testing as per required frequencies.

  • Preserve representative samples of all finished products.

  • Coordinate with Microbiology for timely testing of batch finished product samples.

  • Analyze finished products to confirm specifications and document histories.

  • Support and recommend improvements in sanitation inspections.

  • Demonstrate a strong teamwork ethic and contribute to process development.

  • Uphold a high standard of work ethic and accountability.

  • Communicate effectively with compounding, R&D, purchasing, QC line inspectors, and raw material vendors.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry or Biology, or High School Diploma with 3 years of relevant work experience.

  • Previous experience in Personal Care or similar regulated products is preferred.

  • Proficiency in basic laboratory testing.

  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Basic mathematical proficiency.

  • Knowledge of Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs) is strongly preferred.

  • Experience with batch adjustment responsibility in manufacturing.

  • Familiarity with Physical Testing (Fill Weights, Torque, Color/Odor/Appearance comparison) is desirable.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with controlled documents and Good Documentation Practices (GDP).

Position Requirements:

  • Ability to stand for extended periods.

  • Capable of lifting up to 25 lbs.
