Description
The Training and Development Manager designs, implements, and oversees comprehensive training programs that align with our company's strategic goals and enhance employee performance. This position will collaborate with leadership to identify training needs and develop training programs and initiatives. The Training and development Manager will ensure training is executed across the organization at all times.
Essential Job Functions:
Training
Develop and maintain training matrices for all dental technicians
Create standardized training plans and career paths for dental technicians at all levels
Establish and maintain standardized training procedures across all departments
Ensure consistency in training delivery and content
Collaborate with department heads to identify skill gaps and create targeted development plans
Coordinate with a team of on-the-job trainers and coordinate with external training providers
Learning Management System:
Develop and maintain training materials, including e-learning content for technical skills
Administer and optimize the company's LMS
Develop and curate engaging e-learning content
Ensure all employees have appropriate access and can navigate the LMS effectively
Use LMS data to track progress, completion rates, and identify areas for improvement
Stay updated on LMS trends and recommend upgrades or changes as needed
Leadership Development:
Design and facilitate leadership development programs
With the HR Director, create and administer ongoing Leadership Development content and sessions
Work with the HR Director and Executive Leaders to identify high-potential employees and create growth opportunities
Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Visual Standards
Collaborate with department heads to develop and update SOPs
Create visual aids and standards to support training initiatives
Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all laboratory processes
Establish and update Visual Standards for dental prosthetics quality assurance
Tracking and Measuring Success
Implement systems for training requests, tracking, completion and effectiveness
Analyze training metrics and provide regular reports on program outcomes
Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and make data-driven improvements
Vendor Partnerships
Identify and collaborate with external training vendors when necessary
Manage vendor relationships and ensure quality of outsourced training
Partner with dental lab equipment and material vendors to coordinate product-specific training
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
5+ years of experience in training and development
Strong knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies
Excellent presentation and facilitation skills
Proficiency in e-learning authoring tools and learning management systems (LMS)
Outstanding organizational and project management abilities
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
CPLP or other relevant professional certification is a plus
Salary Description
$100,000-$110,000/annually
