International Paper Company Maintenance and Repair Workers, General in Selma, Alabama
AVAILABLE THROUGH AWSP AND OJT PROGRAMS
1) Obtain daily work orders
2) Read blueprints and drawings
3) Dismantle machines as needed
4) Move machinery and equipment using hoists, dollies, rollers, and trucks
5) Assemble and install equipment
6) Install machine and equipment according to lay-out plan, blue prints and other drawings
7) Utilize hoists, lift trucks, hand tools and power tools
8) Operate cranes, tow motors and fork lifts
9) Align machines and equipment using hoists, jacks, hand tools, dial indicators
10) Install machinery; new and existing equipment
11) May repair and lubricate machines and equipment
12) Refurbish/maintain valves, pumps, gear boxes, bearings, agitators, conveyors, turbines, paper machines, lime kiln
13) Have computer skills
14) Measure for bearing clearance and shaft diameters
15) Troubleshoot equipment reliability issues
16) Fabricate structural materials as needed
17) Assist mechanical craft as needed
