About the Opportunity:

The BEP Joint Venture project will safely design and deliver a Plant and the works in accordance with the requirements of the contract to enable conditioning of wastes from the various donor plants, carried out in line with the Employer ’s needs and to the satisfaction of stakeholders in the Box Encapsulation Project (BEP).

The Surveyor will be be required to:

  • Support the Lead Surveyor and undertakes surveying duties as assigned by him / her to prioritise services demand on the project,

  • Responsible for surveying and setting out complex systems, including Civil, Mechanical and Piping Equipment,

  • Responsible for undertaking as-built positional checks for the works,

  • Provide technical support to the project as subject matter expert,

  • Coach, mentor and develop less experienced surveyors / engineers to teach practicable survey / best practice techniques for setting out,

  • Ensure project quality assurance processes are fully complied with,

The role requires an individual experienced to survey and set-out complex large projects:

  • Full knowledge/understanding of Structural monitoring is required,

  • Experience/working knowledge of modern monitoring systems including geodetic & geotechnical is advantageous,

  • Good interpersonal and communication skills are required, coupled with an ability to form effective relationships with partners under time pressure,

  • Demonstrates an understanding for project schedules, inter‑dependent activities, that facilities survey prioritisations,

  • Demonstrates a passion and excitement for his / her work. Tackles problems head-on and works to resolve them without delay,

  • Good knowledge of AutoCAD, LSS, Leica Survey Equipment, and BIM.

  • Growth focused mindset with a propensity for teamwork and networking.

  • Membership of the Chartered Institute of Engineering Surveyors is desirable,

  • A valid CSCS card is a requirement for this role.
