About the Opportunity:
The BEP Joint Venture project will safely design and deliver a Plant and the works in accordance with the requirements of the contract to enable conditioning of wastes from the various donor plants, carried out in line with the Employer’s needs and to the satisfaction of stakeholders in the Box Encapsulation Project (BEP).
The Site Engineer will be responsible for providing ‘Site Engineering’ support for civil, structural and architectural work scope for delivery of the BEP Project. Works responsibilities inclusive of producing and reviewing risk assessment and method statements for the works for both sub-contract works and for self-delivery works. They must provide setting out points for the works and carry out as-built positional checks for the works, support for the completion of works Inspection & Test Plans and carry out site checks on a daily basis to ensure that any safe systems of work (SSOW) are being carried out as agreed and that any issues that rise are reported directly to the works manager and health and safety department. The Site Engineer must produce as built and redline drawings for the completion of works and for submission for any QA/QC LTR’s; as well as issue any required permits to works for the day’s works ensuring that the documents are closed out and recorded in each case. Review short term works programme and input to the teams as required in line with any ongoing site activities.

Qualification in relevant construction and engineering fields of HNC level or above.
Experience in site-based engineering works or site-based construction works is essential.
Nuclear new build or nuclear decommissioning experience preferred but not essential.
Proficiency in the microsoft office suite.
