About the opportunity:

Role:

A Sub Project Manager is required for the technology scopes within the SSEP portfolio of work.

Ideally the individual will be a P4 Pass holder; SC cleared and have previous Project Management experience, including the APM Level D professional qualification.

The role is based at Sellafield Site, due to COVID-19 restrictions the project management team are currently flexible working between site and home. The Sub Project Manager will normally be contracted to work between 8.10am and 4.20pm, although flexibility with working hours may be required, especially when project deadlines are looming.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering fit for purpose work in a safe manner to meet or better the project baseline cost, schedule and quality requirements.

  • Developing and executing effective execution strategies and plans in line with the overall project strategies and plans.

  • Ensuring the relevant project risks are identified and managed/mitigated as appropriate. This includes regular monitoring of the residual risks.

  • Managing the quality, schedule and cost for the sub project scope to the agreed baseline.

  • Maintaining effective communications and executing the project strategies across the technology project team.

  • Leading and coaching the team to maximise efficiency and effectiveness to deliver in a timely manner fit for purpose work in a safe manner to meet or better the project baseline cost, schedule and quality requirements.

  • Maximising Learning from Experience, disseminating and input of LFE across all project stages.

  • Provision of weekly updates to the Planner, to enable effective progress monitoring and schedule accuracy.

  • Chair/Attend daily project sprint meetings, to support forward planning, preparation and readiness for delivery of the required scope.

  • Stakeholder management

  • Provision of response to Early Warning Notices and attendance at weekly commercial meetings.

  • Progression of timely responses to Technical Queries and Product Permits raised by the project team

  • Daily liaison with the project team delivering the works.

  • Upward reporting of issues to the Senior Project Manager/Integration Manager.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

Preferential Experience:

  • Educated to HNC / HND or degree in a relevant engineering discipline or a chartered engineering & member of an appropriate institute.

  • APM Level D professional qualification.
