About the opportunity:

Site Based Design Team will support the full project lifecycle, providing:

  • On-demand plant surveys and inspections to gather Pre-Construction Information

  • Provision of general design support to construction, commissioning and pre-ops phases

  • Improved communications with site-based stakeholders

  • Reviews of future (FY22 and beyond) design packs.

AXIOM is one of the DSA alliance partners and is an unincorporated Joint Venture (JV) made up of three major engineering contracting companies each with complementary capabilities and skills. The members have excellent nuclear pedigrees, demonstrated expertise and effective track records across the UK nuclear fleet and related nuclear industries.

  • Develop Instrument Schedules, Block Cable Diagrams, and Instrument Data Sheets.

  • Develop control panel schematic diagrams.

  • Develop schemes for Instrument Loop Drawings, Hook-Up Drawings, and Instrument Mounting Drawings.

  • Develop manufacturing and installation specifications to support new plant and equipment projects and/or Decommissioning projects.

  • Develop Lighting and Small Power designs, including lighting and cable calculations

  • Participate in and advise on all design activities and initiatives, including documentation review etc.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

Qualifications - External

  • Must have sound knowledge of electrical systems, control systems and process instrumentation. HNC/HND or Above in Electrical/Instrumentation

  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members.

  • Knowledge of AVEVA Instrumentation and AVEVA Electrical shall be advantageous.

  • Familiar with Electrical design principles.

  • Knowledge of Low Voltage Directive.

  • Ideally familiar with drawing checking processes
