DESCRIPTION OF WORK
A Utility Plant Operator 1 will operate, maintain, and repair boiler and chiller plant systems. You will monitor plant operations to ensure proper functioning of high pressure boilers, make equipment adjustments, and document plant operations data. Additionally, you will perform preventive maintenance, receive plant deliveries, and apply other trades knowledge consistent with plant needs.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment, 40 hours per week. Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, rotating days, with a 30-minute lunch. Overtime and travel as needed. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Six months of experience as a Utility Plant Helper (commonwealth title); or Six months of unskilled work experience assisting in the operation, maintenance, or repair of industrial, commercial, or institutional utility plant systems and related equipment, electronic equipment, electrical systems, heavy machinery, motors, engines, drives or hydraulic systems; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Special Requirements: This position requires possession of an active Class C motor vehicle license.
