The Department of Human Services, Selinsgrove Center is seeking a Clerical Assistant 2 to assist the Clinical Services Director, physicians, Nurse Manager, and other departments within the division. DESCRIPTION OF WORK As a Clerical Assistant 2, your work involves organizing and collaborating with departmental offices within Selinsgrove Center, and with other service providers to facilitate day to day operation of Clinical Services. Duties include attending departmental meetings as requested and preparing and distributing meeting notes as required; preparing, circulating, and retrieving training rosters to send to the training center; and preparing and distributing the physicians on-call calendar and daily schedule. In addition, you develop and maintain a filing system so that necessary correspondence, reports, forms, standards, and regulations can be retrieved with ease.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday to Friday, with 30-minute lunch from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (commonwealth title); or
  • Graduation from high school; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.
  • Other Requirements:

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Legal Requirements:

  • A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
  • This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
  • Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
