TREE TOP INC Trade Promotion Financial Manager in Selah, Washington

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION: The Trade Promotion Financial monitors trade promotion spending, budgets and customer profitability for all Tree Top channels by developing, implementing, reporting and managing systems (AR7), trade funds and customer business plans to achieve Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) sales and margin objectives. The position assists in the development of trade spend guidelines, top line allocations and authorization of planned field trade spend. In addition, the position reviews customer level volume, spend and margin, and challenges inaccuracies and inefficiencies, where appropriate, to maximize return on trade spend. WORKING RELATIONSHIPS: This position reports to the Controller and does not supervise staff. The position works with Sales and Marketing, Information Systems, Senior Trade Marketing Manager, brokers, Finance, Customer Service, and external vendors. QUALIFICATIONS FOR ENTRY: KNOWLEDGE OF: Principles and practices of sales management related to sales/business planning and trade promotion management at the account level. Principles and practices of financial analysis. Proficiency in trade promotion management systems and tools. Statistical and quantitative analysis. Excellent communication and collaboration abilities to work with cross-functional teams. Pertinent Federal, State, and local laws, codes and regulations. ABILITY TO: Maintain confidential and sensitive information. Gain cooperation through discussion and persuasion. Analyze and interpret large amounts of data, synthesize to a meaningful output, and provide actions and recommendations. Identify, research, and analyze problems, identify alternative solutions, and project consequences of proposed actions. Gather, evaluate, and interpret information. Effectively organize, plan, and execute. Use computers and computer software including word processing, spreadsheets, and databases. Meet behaviors established in Tree Top's performance management and development process. EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATION/LICENSES, AND TRAINING: A Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business or related field Minimum of 3 years of experience in trade funds management and/or experience analyzing financial data related to sales performance, preferably in either a sales agency or CPG organization with knowledge of category management and marketing interaction Preferred two years of direct or broker management sales experience, focusing on developing sales plans and trade promotion execution Experience in the use of third-party trade funds management systems is a plus The above job profile does not include all essential and nonessential duties of this job.
