There is an exciting opportunity within Industrial Power Systems Division (IPSD) - Sales, Marketing, Services and Parts- (SMSP) Business Unit. You'll have the unique opportunity be a trusted business advisor, learn about the Perkins and Caterpillar brands, and support the marketing and sales organization through budgetary management and forecasting.

Job Summary

This role will provide you exposure to IPSD's worldwide 3rd party sales and marketing organization for both CAT and Perkins brands through business partnering to understand, forecast, and analyze direct expense spend, as well as providing decision support for our leadership team. In addition, you'll have the opportunity to further develop your data analytic skills with access to software and training for tools such as Power BI and Axiom.

What You Will Do

• Creating reports on financial performance for internal use.

• Developing detailed budgets and working with leadership to help achieve budget targets

• Preparing monthly presentations for leadership on financial results

• Upon request, take part in special projects and ad hoc reporting requests.

• Creating and utilizing automated tools for the updating, analyzing and reporting of consolidated financial results

What You Will Have:

Candidates will have gained the following skills and experience through previous roles:

• Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance

• Accuracy and Attention to Detail: Understanding the necessity and value of accuracy; ability to complete tasks with high levels of precision.

• Managing Multiple Priorities: Knowledge of effective self-management practices; ability to manage multiple concurrent objectives, projects, groups, or activities, making effective judgments as to prioritizing and time allocation.

• Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.

• Financial Reporting: Knowledge of processes, methods, and tools of financial reporting; ability to create and maintain accurate and thorough financial reports.

• Analytical Thinking: Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems.

• Financial Analysis : Knowledge of tools and approaches of financial analysis; ability to read, interpret and draw accurate conclusions from financial and numerical material.

Top Candidates Will Also Have:

• Experience with Power BI or Axiom

Additional Info :

• This position will be located in our Seguin, TX office

• This role is a full time, hybrid position and currently requires 3 days a week in office

• Domestic relocation assistance is available for those who qualify

• Sponsorship is not available

• International and Domestic travel up to 5%
