Key Account Manager (Utility/Renewable)

Location: Italian Headquarters in Segrate (Milan)

As a Key Account Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in maintaining and expanding sales within the Utilities and Renewable segments. Your mission: to position Eaton’s comprehensive energy distribution and management portfolio. You’ll engage with key decision-makers, stakeholders, and partners, establishing trusted advisor relationships to achieve revenue goals in Italy. Your responsibilities include market analysis, customer portfolio definition, action plan development, and end-to-end project management.

What you’ll do:

Market Insight:

  • Conduct market and competitor analysis.

  • Gain expertise in EU and Italian regulations, energy transition trends, and incentives driving demand.

  • Understand energy market specifics and dynamics.

  • Strategy and Account Planning:

  • Define targeted accounts.

  • Build strong relationships with ecosystem stakeholders (partners, system integrators, panel builders, contractors).

  • Maximize cross-selling of Eaton’s product portfolio.

Demand Generation:

  • Leverage Eaton’s product knowledge to engage specifiers and consultants.

  • Ensure Eaton’s presence in specifications for major electrical projects.

  • Manage pipeline and revenue growth.

Processes and Tools:

  • Responsible for sales processes within the segment and country.

  • Negotiate customer/project conditions.

  • Interface between customers and Eaton, collaborating with internal functions.

  • Report pipeline metrics and sales process performance.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering

  • 5+ years of sales/business development or customer-facing strategic/technical roles in the energy infrastructure industry

  • Fluent in written and spoken English and Italian

  • Knowledge of Utilities and Renewable markets

Skills:

  • Solid knowledge of Energy/Power Distribution products (medium voltage, transformers, Low Voltage, Energy Storage)

  • Software skills (e.g., SCADA)

  • Proficient use of MS Office and CRM applications

  • Commercial savvy and relationship-building skills
