The Childrens Place Benefits Coordinator in Secaucus, New Jersey

Job Summary:
The Benefits Coordinator supports a comprehensive benefits program and is responsible for assisting with the administration of short- and long-term disability as well as Accommodations. The Benefits Coordinator will utilize a solid working knowledge of HR practices encompassing administration, organization, and workflow.
Responsibilities:
Key Accountabilities :
Assist the Benefits Analyst with all aspects of an associate’s leave
Communicate with associates regarding their leave needs and/or modified work needs
Work with vendor and HR partners to ensure that associates are aware of their responsibilities and of any documentation needed to qualify for a leave
Respond to all associate and field HR inquiries related to leaves using the HR ticketing system
Take necessary action throughout all aspects of an associate’s leave
Create and distribute LOA reports for business partners as needed
Coordinate and communicate with vendor and associates on leave to help facilitate a smooth and timely return to work
Recommend revisions to company leave policies to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws; stay abreast of all applicable leave and accommodation laws
Responsible to complete all wage and data requests related to leaves and other benefit plans
Review and resolve daily integration errors
Back-up for new hire benefit orientation
Assist with the open enrollment process
Provide support to the Benefits team on projects and other ad-hoc requests as needed, and support general inquiries on all benefit plans
Other duties as assigned
Education and Experience :
High school diploma
1-3 years experience in benefits and leave administration
Experience working in retail industry a plus
Skills and Behaviors :
Excellent customer service skills
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Must be proactive in identifying problems and escalating them
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
