As a UX intern, you will identify strategies to improve the user experience of the F5.com website. In improving the usability and accessibility of our pages, youll generate more engagement and leads for the business. This will create new opportunities for growth and profit.

 

Your role will include researching competitor websites to understand the user experience landscape in the industry. Your primary focus will be competitor research, and F5 demo and trial experiences. You will determine key user experience improvements and how these can be implemented on the F5.com website. You will collaborate with the Testing and Optimization Program Manager to test, where appropriate, the recommendations to enable data-driven decision making.

 

This position is based in Seattle, WA and reports to the Sr. Mgr. Business Operations.

 

Your Typical Day May Involve:

  • Learning and applying UX best practices to make F5.com more usable and accessible

  • Conducting competitive analysis focused on demo and trial experiences

  • Performing a heuristic evaluation of F5.com

  • Recommending user experience improvements to drive increased engagement and web form submissions

  • Partnering to create testing plans to assess viability of recommendations

     

What Were Looking For:

  • In the processof completinga bachelors or masters degree with a user experience focus

  • Completed a user experience design, user experience research, or related coursework

  • Basic understanding of digital marketing principles and best practices

  • Interest in creating usable and accessible experiences

  • Interest in digital marketing and market research

  • Solid communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey UX concepts to less familiar stakeholders

  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and influence strategic decision-making

  • Demonstrated knowledge of Figma or similar design tools

  • A working understanding of design systems and how they are utilized

  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment

  • Work effectively as part of a team and independently with a positive attitude

  • Takes accountability and ownership of his/her own work

  • Must have at least one additional quarter/semester of school remaining following the completion of the internship

     

Preferred Qualifications (Note Required but Valued):

  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
