Position Overview: We are seeking a highly reliable and flexible Advanced Practice Provider (APP) with proven excellence working in an interdisciplinary collaborative team environment for our Inpatient and Outpatient Montlake Campus Electrophysiology Cardiology Team. Position Details: Full-time (100% FTE) UW Faculty Teaching Associate Position, ARNP or PA-C, Electrophysiology Inpatient and Outpatient, variable 10 to 12 hour shifts, Mon-Sat. Teaching Associate have an annual service period of 12 months (July-June). This is a one-year appointment, renewable annually. Estimated start date (insert date) Reports to: Electrophysiology Service Director and Cardiology Lead Advanced Practice Provider Job Duties and Responsibilities: • Collaborate with an inter-professional team including established APPs and cardiologists from the UW Electrophysiology section to provide high quality and safe patient- and family-centered care in a premier institution. • Provide a full spectrum of independent as well as collaborative electrophysiology care to adult Cardiology patients who are pre- and post-procedural in the inpatient setting. • Provide consultations for inpatients with arrhythmic or other electrophysiological cardiovascular disorders. • Provide a full spectrum of independent as well as collaborative care in the outpatient setting including arrhythmia, device, preop, postop, and urgent-add-on electrophysiology patients in the outpatient setting. • Perform ICD and pacemaker interrogations with reprogramming as indicated. • Support MRI in CEID evaluation and reprogramming as needed. • Perform cardioversions, perform loop recorder placements. • Participate in quality improvement projects and process improvement activities. • Participate in and support the Division’s education, research and quality initiatives. o Provide education and mentorship to fellow team members, staff, residents, fellows, nurses and students. o Attend weekly Cardiology Grand Rounds and quarterly faculty meetings. • Be well versed in UWMC CPOE/EPIC. • Follow UWMC Professional Behavior Policy and Procedures. • Perform other related duties as required Required Qualifications: • Graduate Degree from and accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Program or foreign equivalent • Current and valid state Registered Nurse and Advanced Practice Nursing Licensure for ARNP or Physician Assistant licensure for PA-C • Nationally certified ARNP/PA with DEA • Highly reliable, flexible provider with proven excellence working in an interdisciplinary collaborative team environment • Effective interpersonal skills, leadership skills, and clinical expertise in the care of cardiology patients • Basic computer knowledge and command of basic personal computer skills Benefits • Salary dependent on experience • Excellent UW benefits including 401K • 4 weeks vacation • 2 weeks CME (CME funding contingent upon participation in selected Faculty Education efforts) Instructions Candidates, please submit your application via Interfolio apply.interfolio.com/82199 with cover letter, CV, and contact information for three professional references.
