Sr. Software Engineer -- Front-End Simulation & Visualization
Play a key role in the building and extension of critical software features in the 3D Sensor Simulation Engine. Drive and plan new software and development initiatives and projects within the simulation team. Lead and mentor more junior members of the simulation team. Develop and improve realism for key sensors (lidar, radar, camera). Build front-end for simulation & validation framework. Configure, execute, and inspect large scale simulation runs, and present results that enable users to annotate, triage, and learn at a massive scale. 5% domestic travel required.
Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field. Requires 3 years of experience as a Software Engineer or related position working with software simulation frameworks for autonomous vehicles. Experience must include: Providing technical support to the development of realistic simulations for vehicle sensors including camera, lidar, and radar; Optimizing 3-D simulators for end-to-end driving software simulation at scale and hardware-in-the-loop simulation; Maintaining and improving internal software frameworks and developing tools to support internal software infrastructure; and Utilizing C++, Python, and Matlab. Telework permitted within commuting distance to worksite. $144,375-$181,500/year
