As a Senior Program Manager in S3, you get to deliver these capabilities and delight our customers through teams of talented engineers and leaders.We are looking for a Sr. Program Manager to manage capacity planning operations of Exabyte-level S3 Storage distributed system. Customer usage of S3 continues to grow exponentially, and we are constantly expanding our global footprint. In this role you make strategic decisions on planning and executing to S3's customer promise of always available storage.As the right candidate, you will possess a strong program management background, have demonstrated experience leading medium to large projects. You must be able to thrive and succeed in an entrepreneurial environment, and not be hindered by ambiguity or competing priorities. This means you are not only able to develop and drive high-level strategic initiatives, but can also roll up your sleeves, dig in and get the job done.You are excited about automation, simplification, and high performance for your systems. You love to work with internal and external customers to drive growth and adoption of S3. You are great at leading cross-functional teams of engineers, analysts, and program managers to tackle super-difficult problems. You have strong ownership bias and desire to continually improve how things are done. As a PM, you will anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipate and make tradeoffs, and balance the business needs versus technical constraints. An ability to take large, complex projects and break them down into manageable pieces, develop functional specifications, then deliver them in a successful and timely manner is expected. Maturity, high judgment, negotiation skills, ability to influence, analytical talent and leadership are essential to success in this role.The individual will:* Manage cross-team and cross-organization delivery of long-term capacity planning systems* Work with the product management and engineering team to identify technical requirements, limitations, and bottlenecks to scale capacity* Collaborate with internal and external customers to understand future requirements of growth and adoption of S3 and develop systems that support capacity scaling.* Create metrics that inspect and audit the state of S3 storage capacity and measure impact to customers* Enhance our capacity management systems and processes and the interface with hardware design, infrastructure and supply chain management systemsOur team works together to provide work/life balance for all team members.
