Counterfeits are a 1.7 Trillion dollar global, retail industry challenge. To tackle this problem, Amazon.com is offering brands a software service called Transparency. Our vision is to build a global retail industry-wide traceability service that enables brands, supply chain partners, re-sellers and others to trace products through the supply chain. Doing so would allow brands and supply chain participants to proactively identify and prevent counterfeit, unsafe and other defective products from being sold to consumers, maintain sustainable and ethical sourcing, and improve trust and post-purchase engagement with consumers.

What we are looking for:

We are looking for a talented Head of Product with a strong technical and product management background. The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience leading large sized projects, and will have a well-rounded technical background in current development technologies. You must enjoy an entrepreneurial environment, and driven by strong desire to solving for ambiguity or multiple competing priorities. You are not only able to develop and drive high-level strategic initiatives, but can also roll up your sleeves, dig in and get the job done.

As a Sr Mgr PMT, you will work to understand the needs of our customers and potential customers, develop detailed requirements and business cases, and balance the business needs versus technical capability. An ability to take large, complex projects and break them down into manageable pieces, develop functional specifications, then deliver them in a successful and timely manner is expected. Maturity, high judgment, negotiation skills, ability to influence, analytical talent, and leadership are essential to success s in this role.

Basic Qualifications

  • 6+ years of team management experience

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition

  • Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience delivering consumer software products and services in a high growth environment

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $178,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $307,900/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
