Amazon Sr. Manager, Product Manager Technical, Selling Partner Financial Foundations in Seattle, Washington

Selling Partner Financial Technology's (SPFT) vision is to enable every Selling Partner to thrive and grow into a global selling success through providing a financial experience with unparalleled trust that delights all Selling Partners regardless of how they interact with Amazon. We support WW Selling Partners (SP) and internal customers with an intuitive end-to-end financial management experience, reliable accounting and tax solutions, and financial technology services to accurately calculate, book, and bill Vendor Funding (VF). We support 2.7MM+ sellers across 35+ businesses and 125K Retail Vendors.

We are looking for a talented product leader who will build on the product vision and strategy for the Selling Partner Payments domain. This Sr. Manager of Product will lead a team of senior product managers, BIE, and Operational specialists. They will inspire their team members to think big, drive goals and deliver successfully, while unblocking roadblocks when necessary. With customer obsession, they will work backwards from our wide customer base (Selling Partners, Accounting, Finance, Amazon businesses) and solve significantly complex and endemic problems with simple and innovative solutions. They will collaborate with technical teams and business owners across organizational boundaries to deliver software solutions which delight our customers and enhance their end-to-end financial experience.

This leader will advocate for simplification and challenge their team to look around corners, for more optimal and innovative ways. They will be well-versed with defining metrics and goals that align with the vision for their space, and come up with a roadmap to get there. They are comfortable dealing with ambiguity, and de-constructing high level concepts into products and features. They also require deep functional and technical skills to work effectively with engineering, accounting, finance, internal businesses and various stakeholders. They will stay up to date on industry trends, and innovate on behalf of our Selling Partners and internal customers.

Key job responsibilities

• Define a bold vision and strategy for Selling Partner payments, working backwards from our customers.

• Manage a team of senior product managers, BIE and operations distributed across multiple locations.

• Own a portfolio of new and existing products that span multiple teams and customers (Sellers, Vendors, Amazon Businesses, Accounting, Finance, and Engineering) from ideation stage to launch.

• Bring a product culture to engineering teams, and partner closely with engineering teams and across organizations to unblock the roadmap, seek input, and deliver on initiatives.

• Leverage high judgment to prioritize opportunities that drive the most strategic value; working with across the organization to scope design effort, set/track goals and triage incoming priorities.

• Develop and write proposals and business plans, gain approval from stakeholders (e.g., adjacent product managers, legal, PR) and leadership to move those plans forward.

• Influence stakeholders to align on the strategy, goals, and prioritization.

Basic Qualifications

  • 7+ years of product management experience

  • 3+ years of team management experience

  • Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and end to end product delivery

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Strong earns trust and experience influencing cross-functional teams and senior leadership

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA

  • Experience in project management methodologies, business analysis, or process improvement

  • Technical fluency, comfortable discussing technical solutions, understanding their business implication, and identifying alternatives with technology teams.

  • Strong data analysis skills; the ability to extract and synthesize data in order to make data-backed business decisions

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $178,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $307,900/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
