Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA) is a program that lets sellers outsource order fulfillment to Amazon. It’s part of a fully automated set of services we call Supply Chain by Amazon. Sellers are able to send products to Amazon’s global network of fulfillment centers and offer customers free, two-day shipping through Prime. When a customer makes a purchase, Amazon fulfillment specialists can pick, pack, and ship the order. In this role, you will be supporting and partnering closely with senior leaders in the world-wide Fulfillment by Amazon (WW FBA) organization, to create the best employee experience possible!

Key job responsibilities

  • The ability to understand business goals as well as design and implement new approaches, policies and procedures to effect continual improvements in business objectives, productivity and development of HR within the company

  • The desire and ability to be an influential and credible senior HR leader within the team, including setting the tone, agenda, and direction of the HR team and providing the necessary support, follow up, and leadership to ensure the team achieves desired results

  • Understand the entire talent system and each stage of the employee lifecycle and applies that understanding to craft integrated solutions that are thoughtful and reinforced by upstream and downstream talent programs

  • Bias for action, stellar work ethic, and desire to achieve excellence

  • Operates with autonomy and discretion; A true hands-on approach as well as the ability to successfully monitor the "pulse" of the employees to ensure a high level of employee engagement

  • Experience with rapid and complex changing work environment

  • Leverage data to identify, forecast, and analyze risks and opportunities to improve the employee experience.

  • Ability to identify and deeply understand problem statements, developing solutions and influence business leaders, partners, and stakeholders on recommendations without direct authority.

  • Operate with autonomy and discretion within, at times, a challenging and ambiguous environment.

  • Managing large-scale cyclical talent processes while also diving into the details of nuanced employee-specific questions and concerns.

About the team

This role will be a member of the Selling Partner Services (SPS) PXT Team; a global, multi-functional team made up of HRBPs, Research Scientists, Business Intelligence Engineers, Program Managers, and specialists in Leadership Development, Diversity, and Strategic Communications. Together, we support and create solutions for SPS tech, business, and operations teams worldwide. Our SPS PXT team's mission statement is, “People are our business. We build and grow organizational capability through meaningful attraction, development, engagement, and retention experiences.”

This role has the added benefit of an extended HRBP network through North America Consumer, WW Consumer and Amazon's PXT organization.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in related discipline.

• 5-7 years of work experience in an HR Generalist/Business Partner role including, performance management, change management, and employee experience.

• Experience with MS Office Suite, particularly in Excel (ability to create pivot tables, use Vlookup and utilize formulas)

• Strong analytical skills. Experience using and presenting data to make decisions.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience owning HR strategies globally or across multiple geographies

• Experience managing cross-functional projects and initiatives.

• Able to manage workflow, with minimal oversight, in a fast-paced, frugal environment with multiple and sometimes changing priorities.

• Experience dealing with ambiguity and moving quickly to solutions/recommendations.

• Outstanding interpersonal and leadership skills and exceptional commitment to Amazon's Leadership Principles.

• Superior employee relations and influencing skills.

• Able to work both on a team and independently to deliver results.

• Experience working with project management software, SharePoint, Slack.

• Master’s degree

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $104,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $193,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
