Description What you'll be doing: We are seeking a self-starting, passionate journalist to join our close-knit, talented and award-winning staff. We are looking for someone with a passion for data-driven journalism who can identify and report on industry trends, with a knack of breaking them down to tell the stories behind the numbers. You'll also assist with day-to-day beat reporting and breaking news. We strive to be the top source of news and information to our global audience through a variety of both print and digital channels. As part of our team, you will help deliver both breaking news, along with an analytical look at the top issues in a way that explains to our readers what the impact will be on them. Why join us? We are looking for someone who can: Identify, break down and report on industry trends. Contribute to day-to-day reporting and breaking news. Oversee special projects/rankings. Cover several key industry beats in the tire and rubber industry. Help proof pages during print production cycles. Multitasker: Juggling stories is second nature to you. Bonus if you can do it without breaking a sweat. Strategic thinker: You are not only a reporter, you are eager to help devise an editorial strategy that reflects fresh thinking and keeps our content ahead of the curve. Collaborative team player: You thrive in a newsroom environment and contribute ideas and work seamlessly with the team. Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's degree Experience: At least two years in a professional newsroom, which may include internships or a significant college journalism experience, with strong reporting skills. Self-starter: Motivated and able towork independently whilecontributing to the team's success. Travel ready: Willing to travel to industry events and chase down the next big story. Position will work a hybrid schedule from our Cuyahoga Falls office or, possibly remotely from one of the states listed on our career site. Must be able to work ET hours. This position is exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay. Pay Transparency Disclosure: The estimated salary range for this position is $59,000 to $65,000. The final salary offering will take into accounta wide range of factors, including experience, accomplishments and location. The salary range provided should not be considered as a salary limit or cap.
