Design and implement the next generation of Snap's multi-cloud Ad Delivery infrastructure platform. Design, implement, and operate Snap's most critical and scalable services -- ranging from user identity services, friend graph, and our core persistence layer. Solve exciting distributed systems problems like building streaming real-time pipelines and services to compute and surface ads performance metrics which are used by advertisers to gauge campaign efficiency and make optimization decisions. Help the team deprecate Snap's monolithic architecture and move towards a layered service-oriented architecture. Work across teams to understand product requirements, evaluate trade-offs, and deliver the solutions needed to build innovative products. Evaluate, appropriately test and debug work, striving for high quality. Advocate for and apply best practices regarding availability, scalability, operational excellence, and cost management. Required education/experience: Master of Science or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or closely related field plus two (2) years of experience in Software Development/Engineering or closely related experience; OR Bachelor of Science or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or closely related field plus five (5) years of experience in Software Development/Engineering or closely related experience.  Required Skills: Knowledge and/or experience in: Experience with operating highly-available systems at significant scale. Experience with large-scale microservices and distributed systems, Cloud computing and storage systems, Infrastructure and large-scale system design. Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or Amazon Web Services (AWS). Programming languages: C++ or Java. Development tools and platforms: Git, IntelliJ. Operating systems: Mac OS and Linux. *Knowledge/experience means knowledge/experience sufficient to adequately perform the duties of the job being offered.  OTHER: Job Site: Snap Inc., 2025 1^st^ Avenue, Seattle, WA 98121. *Hybrid work permitted -- Snap practices a "default together" approach and expects our team members to work in the Seattle, WA office at least 80% of the time (an average of 4 days per week). 40 hours/week. Base salary: $182,312 - $228,000 per year. This position is eligible for a discretionary performance-based bonus award. This position is eligible for equity in the form of RSUs.
