Amazon Software Development Engineer, Builder Tools in Seattle, Washington

Description

Our team owns the core frameworks, libraries and tooling for software development at Amazon. For this role, we’re looking for someone to take a leading role in making the Java builder experience at Amazon the best it can be. This spans everything from improving idiomatic Java tools like Gradle, to building out integrations with existing internal services, to helping Amazon builders follow Java best practices. You’ll work across Amazon ensuring that our solutions meet the needs of one of our most demanding customers — our own developers.

You’ll be a good fit for this role if you can lead the development of technically ambiguous projects, own mission critical code, and think big; driving the Java builder experience at Amazon. If you’re excited about improving developers’ lives, being a force-multiplier for large numbers of service teams, and want to lead from the cutting-edge, this is the team for you. You’ll solve challenging problems relating to build toolchain ergonomics, cross-language compatibility, dependency management at Amazon scale, best practice development, and more. 10025
