The AWS Managed Services development team is looking for an exceptional software development engineer to join our team, tasked with developing a service that will accelerate the adoption of AWS services among enterprise customers. This team is building high-impact service management features like monitoring and incident management for Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS) workloads, drift detection and prevention, provisioning new accounts, managing account configuration and compliance, powered by a variety of AWS services including but not limited to Amazon Managed Prometheus, Managed Grafana, Lambda, Step Functions, EC2, CloudFormation, CloudTrail, CloudWatch, S3, DynamoDB, and more.

Key job responsibilities

  • Collaborate with experienced cross-disciplinary Amazonians to conceive, design, and bring innovative products and services to market.

  • Design and build innovative technologies in a large distributed computing environment and help lead fundamental changes in the industry.

  • Create solutions to enable observability for AMS customers with exposure to innovative technologies at incredible scale and speed.

  • Work in an agile environment to deliver high-quality software.

AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. The AWS Global Support team interacts with leading companies and believes that world-class support is critical to customer success. AWS Support also partners with a global list of customers that are building mission-critical applications on top of AWS services.

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience

  • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience

  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

  • 2+ years hands-on experience working with Container Management/Orchestration services such as Elastic Kubernetes Services (EKS), Elastic Container Services (ECS) or equivalent

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
