Blue Origin LLC Senior Systems Engineer, Requirements Lead - Lunar Permanence in Seattle, Washington

This role is part of the Lunar Permanence business unit, which develops Blue Origin's multiple Blue Moon lander product lines. To further Blue Origin's mission of having millions of people living and working in space, we are building a sustainable infrastructure to transport crew and cargo from Earth to the lunar surface. As a System Engineer on the Lunar Permanence Program Systems Engineering & Integration (SE&I) Requirements, Verification, and Certification (RVC) team you will be responsible for managing the execution of the vehicle level requirements and verifications. You will work directly with Blue Origin LP elements, our National Team Partners, and NASA. You will play a key role in developing the lunar vehicle system that will return humans to the Moon and extend human presence permanently beyond the bounds of Earth. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Requirements management at element to element and system of systems level, including working with NASA and our team on any new or modified requirements. Work with multiple partners to define system-level interfaces that cross element boundaries. Manage the definition of interface requirements between systems and elements. Develop program-level verification event definitions including system-level verification events and integration of element-level events. Develop system-level verification closure products including preparation of Validation Closure Notices for Blue Origin and NASA purposes. Track metrics against plans to develop and closeout requirements and verification products. Perform technical work and provide technical leadership of the highest caliber Utilize good engineering and business judgement to ensure the most efficient and effective product is designed, manufactured, procured, tested, qualified, and delivered. Work independently towardlong-range objectives without appreciable direction and determine the technical objectives of assignments to develop approaches to solutions. Embody, promote, and coach the Blue Origin leadership principles. Provide leadership and guidance to the element teams. Minimum Qualifications: Expertise in the use of requirements and functional analysis to specify and verify complex multi-element systems. Experience with defining and managing interfaces, interface requirements, and interface agreements. Experience with NASA development program(s). Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion. Excellent written and oral communication skills.
