Employer: Coupang Global LLC Job Title: Senior Staff Engineer (Seattle, Washington) Responsibilities: Lead architecture design of Fulfillment Center systems for scale, future extensibility and reliability. Envision and drive alignment with stakeholders of appropriate roadmap and future direction of technology for Fulfillment Center systems. Navigate and alleviate technical obstacles and blockers at organizational level. Decompose complex problems into simple, straightforward solutions, providing mechanisms for teams to prioritize and move with urgency. Write code to lead and help with high priority projects and proactively identify opportunities in business and technology. Review, advise and carry out the adoption of new technology (both open-source and commercial) that are useful in achieving business objectives. Recruit and develop world-class engineering talent and drive development of software, automation and robotics initiatives. Innovate and create world class patent pending warehouse inventory allocation and efficiency algorithms leveraging advancements in distributed and cloud native systems. Requires: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, MIS or Computer Engineering (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) and seven (7) years of experience building and deploying large scale distributed backend systems.
