This role is tailor-made for an experienced project-level geologist with a solid background in conducting comprehensive investigations of indoor air, soil, soil gas, and groundwater. Responsibilities Supporting site assessment/remediation, hydrogeology, and environmental risk management studies and services in both the field and office Supporting engineering remediation system design including vapor intrusion mitigation systems (VIMS) and other soil, soil vapor, and groundwater remediation systems Interfacing directly with project internal and external personnel including, but not limited to, principals, business operations personnel, clients, subcontractors, and regulators Preparing technical reports, proposals, and cost estimates Preparing and generating routine reports and correspondence of high quality Reviewing field reports prepared by Staff/Senior Staff Professionals, and providing guidance to field personnel as directed by Project Managers Managing project tasks, as appropriate, under supervision from Senior, Associate, and/or Principal staff Collecting data in complex field situations with limited supervision With minimal supervision, preparing routine proposals, including definition of scope, strategies, and cost estimates, in addition to assisting in preparing large-scale or more complex proposals Calculating routine project budgets Reviewing and evaluating complex data and integrate data evaluations Contacting vendors and researching literature and regulatory requirements Preparing plans and specifications as a member of a design team, or in support of more senior staff Organizing field work and assigning tasks to staff Qualifications Bachelors or Masters degree from an accredited university in geology or related scientific field 10-15 years of demonstrated consulting experience in Washington Washington registration/license in Geology (LG) or Hydrogeology (LHG) preferred Operational knowledge of computer databases and office programs (MS Access, MS Excel, MS Word, MS Teams) OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER Certification and OSHA 8-hour Supervisor Training Strong oral and written communication skills; ability to prepare reports and proposals Excellent writing and technical analytical skills Ability to effectively work on project teams What We Offer The pay range for this Washington position is $120,000.00 - $145,000.00 per year; based on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience of the candidate.
